Beta Amyloid (12-28) (human) is an amyloid β-peptide fragment. It binds apolipoprotein E (apoE), a genetically inherited risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease. It also binds to α7-nicotinic ACh receptors and impairs memory retention following central administration in mice in vivo.
