Allostatin B2 (ASB2) is a myoinhibitory peptide (MIP) used to study juvenile hormone production. Allatostatins are neuropeptides found in insects and crustaceans and Allatostatin B2 inhibits juvenile hormone biosynthesis in insects. As a result, Allatostatin B2 is a potential target for insecticide development.
