CAS Number: 219138-21-3Molecular Weight: 638.26Salt Form: N/APurity: >96%Sequence (3-letter): Ac-Ile-Glu-Thr-Asp-pNASequence (1-letter): Ac-IETD-pNAStorage: -20 °C or belowSolubility: DMSO
Ac-IETD-pNA is a substrate for caspase-8 and granzyme B. Caspase 8 is a cysteine protease involved in apoptosis induced by Fas and other stimuli. It is an attractive therapeutic target for a variety of degenerative disorders. Granzyme B is a serine protease found in cytotoxic T-cells and NK cells. It cleaves and activates a number of caspases involved in apoptosis.
Activity is quantified by the release of p-nitroaniline which is measured by absorbance at 405 nm.
